Digital Artwork
A Portrait A Day
A word from the artist
In this project, I sought to capture the personalities of each person in a totally unique digital portrait.
Project Description
This is an exciting project that I love to talk about. I wanted to practice and improve my digital art skills, so I originally drew a self portrait (the blonde girl) and posted it to my social media. Almost immediately, I had people reach out to me expressing interest in having their own portrait done. Each portrait was an individual commission for a different client. I had them send me a photo for reference, and I asked them about different elements they would like to include (such as color, plant details, etc). I made a lot of bold creative choices here to focus more on color and style than strict realism. I thought this was a better way to capture each person’s energy than a regular portrait. I used primarily Procreate, Illustrator, and Photoshop to create these images. When I delivered the final product, I was met with praise by each client.
